OCr25Al5 is an Fe-Cr-Al Arc Spray wire with 23.5% Cr, 5.3% Al, 0.45% Mn, 1.0% Si and balance Fe. The source places an asterisk beside manganese without supplying a footnote, so the value is retained without inventing an explanation. The alloy is positioned for high-temperature oxidation resistance, wear protection and surface restoration.
The source publishes HRB 85-90 hardness, 6,300 psi bond strength, a 10 lbs/hr/100A deposit rate, 70% efficiency, 0.8 oz/ft²/mil coverage and good machinability. The 1.6 mm wire is supplied at 15 kg per spool. Settings are 50-60 psi, 28-30 V, 100-200 A and a 4-6 inch distance, with white-metal cleaning and 24-mesh roughening.
Protects boiler tubes, shields and hot surfaces against oxidation and wear while restoring dimensions on components needing a machinable Fe-Cr-Al deposit.
