Cr3C2-25NiCr is a carbide-metal powder produced by Huayin through gas atomization, with a hard chromium-carbide phase distributed in a tough NiCr matrix. The combination lets HVOF coatings keep high hardness and erosion resistance even in continuous high-temperature service, the range where many tungsten-carbide systems start to degrade.
Because the NiCr matrix resists both oxidation and hot corrosion, the material suits parts exposed to combustion gases, hot particulate and sulfur-bearing environments. Quantitative values such as hardness, porosity and deposit efficiency depend on the HVOF gun and the specific process, so CQ recommends establishing them from a sample run rather than applying a fixed figure.
