316L is a low-carbon austenitic Fe-Cr-Ni-Mo stainless powder, gas-atomized by Huayin with a spherical morphology suited to Laser Cladding. The low carbon content reduces grain-boundary carbide formation, so the overlay keeps its corrosion resistance even after the thermal cycle of laser processing.
The material suits chemical, food and paper equipment, pumps and stainless shafts needing corrosion-resistant overlays with low dilution. Laser Cladding produces a durable metallurgical bond and a narrow heat-affected zone, enabling precise surface restoration with little substrate distortion.
