Hermus-13 is an iron-based/tool-steel powder supplied by Huayin for Laser Cladding, aimed at overlays with high hardness after restoration. The spherical morphology keeps powder feeding stable, while the metallurgical bond characteristic of laser cladding gives a well-bonded, low-porosity layer on dies, tooling and mechanical parts.
The material suits cutting edges, lightly impacted surfaces and local wear zones needing a controlled hard layer. After cladding, the coating can be finish-machined to the working dimension. Laser parameters and heat input must be tuned to balance hardness against the cracking tendency of tool-steel systems.
