The Laser Cladding T400 is a cobalt-molybdenum-chrome-silicon Tribaloy alloy supplied by Huayin for high-performance overlays resisting galling and dry friction. Hard Laves phases formed by molybdenum and silicon give superior hot-wear resistance for directly sliding surface couples at high temperature.
The material suits bearing surfaces, seats, wear rings and oil-and-gas parts operating under dry or poorly lubricated friction. Because the Laves phase is more brittle, laser processing is preferred for its good control of heat input and thickness, reducing cracking; CQ helps set the process for each specific application.
